MASFIK,  aka "Me And Some Folks I Know" is a versatile, High Energy musical ensemble that is  capable of playing many musical styles. MASFIK has performed at numerous Weddings, Corporate Events, Festivals, Private Parties, and clubs around the Washington DC, Maryland and Northern Virginia areas.  MASFIK was formed in  December of 1999 by a talented group of musicians that wanted to do something special. To date we have played over 1200 gigs. Our repertoire includes Smooth Jazz, R&B, Funk and Blues covers by many of the greatest artist of all time. These artist include; Luther Vandross, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston,Will Downing, Gladys Knight, Pattie Labelle, Anita Baker, Tina Turner and  Chaka Kahn as well as, Grover Washington, James Brown, Miles Davis, and Bob James.  We also cover many of the  Contemporary Top 40 tunes heard on many radio stations today. These artist include; Mary J. Blige, Kym, Jill Scott, and many more.
